In conjunction with our work to identify real-life examples of responsiveness-to-intervention models in use in elementary schools, we have collected descriptions of two research studies in which RTI models have been implemented.
Our intent in presenting the school-based examples is to describe current RTI practices, which in general are regarded as works in progress by school staff members. In contrast, the research studies because of their controlled nature present different standards of quality practices.
This section provides a brief summary of research studies in reading and math conducted by Vanderbilt University as part of the work scope of NRCLD.
This section describes a five-year project examining the effectiveness of the implementation and sustainability of a three-tier responsiveness-to-intervention model in six Texas elementary schools.
